How Our Service Works!

Our estimating process is quick and efficient; beginning the minute we receive your drawings. After completing detailed takeoffs, we create a Bill of Material complete with all required schedules and one-line diagrams to be sent either to your suppliers on your behalf or directly to you. Using the computer estimating software of your choice we create a detailed estimate that meets your needs. We maintain constant communication and encourage you to do the same.

Fedex/Fax/Phone No Problem

We receive your drawings, prepare the required estimate and return the marked up drawings to your office. Often prints are available online or by disk. We have readers and we can plot or print any drawiings or specs.

Procedure for Sending Work

1) Send electrical drawings, mechanical drawings, specifications and any alternates through the mail (preferrably FedEx) on paper, on an Auto-cad CD or by e-mail. Include the due date and which database you will be using in your estimating system. Call Accurate first.

2) Make yourself a copy of the electrical specifications and the bid specifications, and call before sending the prints.

3) Also include a purchase order referencing the job and due date and a check for any outstanding invoices.

4) Call immediately if you receive an addenda or date extension.

5) Leave plenty of time for your review of the job prior to the bid.

Procedure for Preparing your Estimate

1) Review and assemble your vendor quotes for correctness. Compare them against our bill of material.

2) Review the estimate extension for typos, material prices, and labor levels that may be higher or lower than what you want.

3) Review the summary to check journeyman labor rates, overhead percentages, profit percentages, and tax rates.

4) Check miscellaneous high priced material with your suppliers (Hi voltage cable and terminations)

5) Arrange sufficiant review and work time the day before the bid and the morning of the bid. Plan to be in the office the day of the bid.

6) Call every party you are bidding to, the day before the bid and the morning of the bid. The more personal contact you have with yourclients the better
